Veruta is an industry leader in online advertising. Our proprietary technology and solution democratizes the online banner advertising arena and provides a simple to use tool that allows advertisers to customize their own banners and select which products to display. By utilizing the right set of tools that we provide, our community is able to utilize banner advertisements to not only drive more traffic, but also build their brand and effectively merchandise products that ultimately leads to repeat customers and incremental revenue.
About the Team
Paxton Song
CEO and Founder
Prior to founding Veruta, Paxton was most recently in charge of Product Management for graphical advertising on eBay, Inc where his efforts were responsible for over $85M in annual advertising revenue. He was also responsible for evaluating and implementing strategic third party alliances with key portals and online advertising networks. During his four-year tenure with eBay, Paxton also held various managerial roles on the Customer Insights and Analytics team where he was respon. Previous to eBay, Paxton has worked across various industries ranging from aerospace, to consulting, to various Silicon Valley startups including Chipshot.com. Paxton has an MBA and MS in Information Systems from Boston University. Also interesting to note is Paxton's past experience as a professional golfer where he was a fully exempt member of the 1995 and 1997 Asian Tour. His brush with greatness came when he played with 2003 Masters Champion, Mike Weir, in the 1995 Bali Open in Indonesia.
Arnaud Tellier
CTO and Founder
Before joining Veruta, Arnaud was Founder and CTO of Wambo.com, a peer-to-peer distributed file sharing startup, that successfully raised $2M in funding. Arnaud also spent several years as a Sr. Software Architect at Stanford Research Center/NASA where he worked on bleeding edge technologies such as integrating Bluetooth devices into spacesuits. Arnaud's expertise lies within software architecture, database design and optimization, networking, scalable systems designs and algorithms. He is armed with a MS in Computer Science from Stanford University and an MS in Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris. Arnaud is also credited with two patents while at NASA, four provisional patents from Wambo, and over 15 publications. In his spare time Arnaud enjoys expunging high octane fossil fuels in the form of auto racing in his Mazda Miata. He also previously owned a BMW M3 in which he frequently ignored posted highway speed limits.
John Allem
Director of Information Technology
Before joining Veruta, John was Senior Unix and Network Administrator at PDF Solutions. He also held positions as Director of Information Systems as Credence Systems and World Wide IT Director at NPTest Inc. He has been responsible for the design, implementation and management of IT and Telecom systems and solutions for over 16 years. More recently John was responsible for Data Center management including design, architecture and implementation. John's expertise includes networking, unix and windows system administration, telecom and datacom technologies, and data center operations. John holds a BS in Electronics Engineering Technology from DeVry Institute of Technology, Phoenix Arizona. His spare time is spent learning new operating systems, building his own computer systems, wood working in his garage and remodeling his San Jose home.
Brian Johnson
VP Business Development
Prior to joining Veruta, Brian held sales and business development positions with online marketing, intelligence, and analytics companies such as Coremetrics, Endeca, and MicroStrategy. He brings 19 years of experience across various stages of the startup environment; and has had key roles in acquiring numerous marquee brands as customers over the years. Brian earned a BS in Business Administration from The University of Maryland, College Park.
Quinn Regan
Sales Director
Prior to joining Veruta, Quinn was a Senior Account Executive with Behavioral Targeting and Retargeting startups including TACODA and FetchBack. Quinn brings a high level of experience and understanding to the sales team, driving both the client direct and agency sales verticals. Quinn's passions at home are focused on his family and friends - at Veruta he is committed to finding innovative ways to scale our digital solutions and take care of his clients..
Scott Cohen
Sales Director, East Coast
Before joining Veruta, Scott was Client Development Manager at LinkShare Corp. where he was responsible for developing new business. Scott focused on building and maintaining relationships with Internet Retailer top 500 accounts. He started at LinkShare as the first sales professional dedicated to the Exchange level of service. Within two years he helped grow the Exchange team to six salespeople. Prior to LinkShare, Scott started his sales career in the television industry at NBC after graduating with a B.S. in Marketing from SUNY Buffalo. Scott’s talent lies in his consultative approach. He is dedicated to learning about each client’s business and working with them to drive incremental, quantifiable revenue.
